TurboSketch Studio was launched as a retail bundle of Google SketchUp, free version, and our phototrealistic rendering plugin.  The plug-in is now available by download only, under the name IDX Renditioner Express.

IDX Renditioner Express will continue to be available here for download purchase, or for existing TurboSketch Studio users, as an update at no charge for this version 1.x of the product.

It differs from TurboSketch Studio in stability, quality of image, control over lighting, speed of rendering, and also in image size.  The maximum rendering image size with IDX Renditioner Express is 1024 x 768 pixels, which may be smaller than previous render sizes (as TurboSketch Studio had an inconsistent maximum size based upon screen resolution and window size).

IDX Renditioner Express is the entry-level product in a growing family of rendering products.  IDX Renditioner, standard version, provides the same quality and improvements, but supports maximum 16 megapixel images for large print output, and multithreading support for multiple CPU or multi-core machines that is needed for such large renderings.  IDX Renditioner also comes with over 30 light components, although more may become available for both products in the Renditioner forum at http://forums.idx-design.com.   In all other ways IDX Renditioner and IDX Renditioner express behave the same, and produce similar output.
